The pitch
Free AI-powered IELTS Writing correction service providing instant band score feedback and sentence-level corrections for Academic and General Training Task 1 and Task 2.
Quick answers
What is Protu?
Protu is an AI IELTS Writing correction tutor. Write an Academic or General Training Task 1 or Task 2 essay and get an estimated band score and sentence-by-sentence corrections right away, based on the four official IELTS criteria. Then rewrite the same question with your corrections beside you and get graded again.
Is Protu really free?
Yes. The free plan gives you one essay a day with no card required, and your essays stay private. Pro ($4.99/mo) gives you 3 essays a day and Max ($9.99/mo) gives you 9, with every question type, the advanced AI model, and no ads.
How accurate is AI IELTS band scoring?
The band score is an AI estimate based on the four official IELTS criteria: Task Achievement or Response, Coherence and Cohesion, Lexical Resource, and Grammatical Range and Accuracy. Use it as a practice reference to see where you lose marks and whether a rewrite helped — it is not an official IELTS score.
What is Rewrite?
After your essay is corrected, you can write the same question again with your previous corrections beside you. The model answer stays hidden so you fix the essay in your own words, and each version is graded and saved so you can compare them. The free plan includes 1 rewrite per essay and Pro and Max include 3. Rewrites don't use your daily credit.
