Vairi
AI-powered friendship matching platform with one introduction at a time and weekly online evenings
Vairi introduces adults to compatible friends one at a time through AI matching, with anonymous introductions and optional weekly online group evenings.
The pitch
Vairi is an AI-powered friendship matching platform that helps adults make friends through intentional introductions rather than dating app-style browsing. Members complete a short interview about how they socialise, their energy level, and current life circumstances, and Vairi matches them one person at a time based on conversational compatibility and life stage rather than photos. All initial conversations are anonymous, with names and photos only revealed when both people agree. The platform also hosts Friday Aperitivo, a weekly one-hour online gathering of three to six members with question cards to facilitate connection.
Vairi is built as a "digital third space" - neither home nor work - where the same people meet regularly enough for friendship to form naturally. Founder members can start shared activities like co-watching films, sharing music playlists, and playing games within conversations. The platform operates primarily in the UK with most members in London, while online evenings are open to members across Europe and the US.

Quick answers
What is Vairi?
Vairi is a private, AI-powered friendship matching platform and digital third space. It interviews you, matches you on life stage and conversational fit, and introduces you to one person at a time anonymously. It also hosts Friday Aperitivo, a free online evening for groups of up to six members.
How does the AI matching actually work?
You complete a roughly 10-question interview about how you handle conflict, your energy level, and what is happening in your life. Vairi reads those answers, filters by country, and sends one intentional match at a time. In the UK your first introduction arrives after you join, then new introductions come every Tuesday at 7:30pm. You each see a short introduction first, and the chat opens only once you both agree.
Is Vairi anonymous?
Yes. Vairi is anonymous-first. Your name, photo, and exact location stay hidden until both people agree to reveal them. One person asking for a reveal does not commit the other to anything.
How much does Vairi cost?
Joining, introductions and chatting with your introductions are free. Founder membership adds unlimited conversation with Vairi about your matches and lets you start shared activities. It costs £3.99/month, £9.99 for 3 months, or £19.99/year, with the first 7 days free.
Where is Vairi available?
Vairi makes one-to-one introductions between members in the United Kingdom, most of them in London. Anyone can join from elsewhere and go on the waitlist for their city. Vairi Nights, small online evenings, are open to members across Europe and the US.
Vairi has a free listing. The owner can unlock the full profile with a paid launch for $5:
